1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Hire Bartender ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Hire Bartender is a platform that connects event hosts with independent bartenders in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. We provide a directory service that allows:

  • Bartenders to create profiles and list their services
  • Event hosts to browse bartender profiles and make direct contact
  • Users to submit enquiries for bartender matching services

Hire Bartender does not employ bartenders and is not a party to any agreements made between bartenders and event hosts.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Bartender Obligations

Bartenders using the Platform agree to:

  • Hold a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate for their state
  • Provide accurate information about their qualifications and experience
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage where required
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Respond professionally to enquiries and bookings

5. Event Host Obligations

Event hosts using the Platform agree to:

  • Provide accurate event details when making enquiries
  • Communicate respectfully with bartenders
  • Honour booking arrangements made with bartenders
  • Pay bartenders directly as agreed

6. Platform Role and Limitations

Hire Bartender acts solely as a connection platform. We do not:

  • Employ or supervise bartenders
  • Guarantee the quality of services provided by bartenders
  • Process payments between parties
  • Provide insurance coverage for events
  • Verify all information provided by users

All arrangements, payments, and services are directly between the bartender and event host.

7. Fees

Currently, Hire Bartender is free to use for both bartenders and event hosts. We reserve the right to introduce fees in the future with reasonable notice.

8. Content and Conduct

Users must not:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to circumvent platform security
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The Hire Bartender name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant us a licence to display it on the platform.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of user-submitted content.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hire Bartender shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or any arrangements made through it.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hire Bartender from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
